How do you know if you have been filled with the Holy Ghost? It's so simple! Jesus said, "Everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened--if ye being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask Him!" (Luke 11:10,13) Like Salvation, you can't earn it or deserve it or be worthy of it, it's a gift, received by faith.
Sometimes people receive the Spirit but they don't get any particular evidence, they don't get any particular sign, and they're disappointed because the Lord's Spirit wasn't manifested by some supernatural or physical experience right then and there. But it doesn't matter how you feel or anything else! When you've asked God for the Holy Ghost, you have it, you know it because He promised it. It's just like Salvation. How do you know when you get saved?--It's not because of the way you feel at the time. It's not because of faith in feelings or experiences. It's because of faith in God's Word!
Just open up your heart and let the Sunshine in! Pray and ask Jesus to fill you with His Spirit and He will!--He's promised to!
