Creation vs. Evolution

1. God created the world, not chance evolution:

Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Neh.9:6 Thou hast made the earth, and all things therein
Isa.45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it
Jn.1:1-3 All things were made by Him (Jesus); and without Him was not anything made that was made
Col.1:16 For by Him (Jesus) were all things created
Heb.1:2b His Son...by Whom also He made the worlds

2. God's Word created (and maintains) the universe:

Psa.33:6 By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made
Psa.33:9 He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast
Col.1:17 He (Jesus) is before all things, and by Him all things consist [hold together]
Heb.1:3a Upholding all things by the Word of His power
Heb.11:3 The worlds were framed by the Word of God

3. God's creation is proof of His existence:

Job 12:7-9 The earth...shall teach thee. Who knoweth not...that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this?
Psa.19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament (universe and stars) sheweth His handiwork
Rom.1:20 The invisible things of Him are...understood by the things that are made...so they are without excuse

4. Jesus believed in and quoted from Genesis:

Mat.19:4,5 Have ye not read...He...made them at the beginning (See also Gen.1:27; 2:24.)
Jn.5:46,47 If ye believe not his (Moses') writings [Genesis], how shall ye believe My Words?

5. False science doesn't have the answers:

1Tim.6:20 Avoiding...oppositions of science falsely so called
2Tim.3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to a knowledge Psa.14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, "There is no God"
Isa.44:24,25 The Lord turneth...wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish
Jer.2:27 Saying to a stone, "Thou hast brought me forth"
Jer 8:9 The [so-called] wise men have rejected the Word of the Lord; what wisdom is there in them?
Rom.1:21-23 When they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
Rom.1:25 They changed truth [of creation] into a lie [evolution] and worshipped the creature more than the Creator
1Cor.1:18-21 Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

6. The Bible and true science:

A. The days of Genesis chapter one were not geological ages:

Gen.1:11-19 [Plants created on day 3, the sun on day 4. Plants could live 24 hours without sun, but not eons]
Exo.20:9-11 [Rest the 7th day, not eon] For in 6 days the Lord made heaven and earth...and rested the 7th day

B. Prophetic descriptions of recent "discoveries" about creation:

Job 36:27,28 [Water cycle:] Rain according to the vapour thereof: which the clouds do drop and distill
Eccl.1:7 All the rivers run into the sea...from whence the rivers come, thither they return again
Job 38:22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? [No two snowflake crystals on earth are alike]
Eccl.1:6 [Jet stream:] The wind...whirleth about continually, returneth according to his circuits
Heb.11:3b Things which are seen [material world] were not made of things which do appear
Job 26:7 He...hangeth the earth upon nothing
Isa.40:22 It is He that sitteth upon the circle of the earth

C. "Prehistoric" beasts are mentioned in the Bible. They co- existed with man before the flood:

Gen.1:21 God created great whales [Heb: "great sea monsters"]
Job 40:15-24 Behold now behemoth...he moveth his tail like a cedar
Job 41:1-34 Leviathan...shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him? When he raiseth up himself...

D. Each species created distinct and separate; the unbridgeable gap of sterility separates species:

Gen.1:11,12,21,24,25 Every (plant and) living creature...brought forth after their kind (species)

E. The age of the earth:

NOTE: Secular history tells us that Solomon finished building the Jew-ish temple in 1012 BC.--And the genealogies listed in Gen.5:1-29; 7:6; 11:10-26; 21:5; 25:26; 47:5-12; Exo.12:40,41 and 1Ki.6:1,38 which cover from Adam to Solomon show that the earth was created only around 4,000 BC, about 6,000 years ago, not billions of years ago.

7. God, as the Creator, has rights of ownership of everything:

Job 41:11 Whatsoever is under the whole heaven is Mine
Psa.24:1,2 Earth is the Lord's...and they that dwell therein
Psa.50:10-12 Every beast of the forest is Mine...the world is Mine
Psa.89:11 The heavens are Thine, the earth also is Thine
Psa.95:3-5 Sea is His...He made it: His hands formed the land

8. He expects and deserves reverence and worship from His creations:

Psa.33:6-9 By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made...Let all the earth fear the Lord (and) stand in awe of Him
Psa.148:5 Praise the name of the Lord: for He...created
Eccl.12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth
Isa.45:9 Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker
Isa.48:12,13 Hearken unto Me...Mine hand hath laid the foundation of the earth, and...spanned the heavens
Jer.32:17 Thou hast made the heaven and the earth by Thy great power...and there is nothing too hard for Thee
Jer.33:2,3 Thus saith the Lord, the maker, Call unto Me
Acts 14:15 Turn from vanities...unto God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein

9. God has power to control His creation:

Job 38:8-11 Here shall thy proud waves be stayed [must stop]
Psa.104:5-35 [A description of God's control of creation]
Psa.135:5-7 Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did He... in earth

10. As Creator, God is above all "gods":

1Chr.16:26 The gods of the people are idols: but Lord made heavens
Psa.95:3 The Lord is a great God...above all gods
Jer.10:11-13 The gods...have not made the heavens and the earth, (God) hath made the earth by His power
